Origin

X3 Fleet Safety LLC operated a DOT compliance SaaS for small carriers since 2024. In 2026, after publishing 100 open-source compliance skills (Apache 2.0, github.com/x3fleetsafety/skills), we realized the same content + Claude AI could replace a human Safety Director for the carriers who couldn't afford one. Compass was born.

Mission

Make compliance work for the 125,000+ small US motor carriers who don't have a full-time safety team — and the safety consultants who serve them. We do this by building the most regulatorily accurate AI in trucking + giving our compliance review team a megaphone.
